9.99 On the skid steer cab enclosures, how does the canvas-type from Northern Tool work with fogging up or ice build up? Throwing on a 0 canvas with or without a heater seems a little too easy. If I can get away with a canvas enclosure and heater for 0 that sure beats k or so from the dealer. My questions are: has anyone used the acrylic after market enclosures. The front door is also acrylic with wiper. Are you happy with performance? Another question is Gehl skids are oil cooled. I was looking at heaters on ebay. They say they can be used with oil systems. I am concerned with hot oil being in the cab. Any suggestions or experience? I found a door on ebay for my Cat 242 Skid steer. I bought the side glass from Cat for 0.00. Was going to go with lexan on the sides, would have cast me over 0.00 ant would of had to make some kind of brackets to mount them, decided to spend the extra, and glad I did.
2019 CAT 242D Skid Steer fully loaded, CAT 8' steel trip pusher (replacing with a Metal Pless Liveboxx 10-32 2015 CAT 930M wheel loader, Metalpless 1248-20 live edge 2018 CAT 914M wheel loader, ordered a Metal Pless Liveboxx 12-42 I bent the door when I got it stuck. Was pulling it out with a tractor and went to lower the boom, but the door was still open Bent it down. So, to remedy the bent door, I lowered the boom, opened the door and lifted the boom It bent it just enough to seal once again. I have the worst luck with bobcats though. I can go out for 5 minutes. We were out plowing this morning with our Gehl 7810 skid and everything went fine for the first 3 hrs. Then, the operator called and said he could go forward and back but that no loader functions would work at all. It acts like all functions are safetied out.. Anyway the best part was that the loader was up in the air some and the door wouldn't .

I would just recommend getting a factory one installed on your machine. Holds the heat in better and much more durable. We have one on our mustang skid steer thats been on for 10 years. Plus with a factory one you get a windshield wiper, locking door, and all wiring for your wipers and fan. I think ours ran about 00.00 installed. The salesmen said his branch has never sold one or installed one. But it is quite a small skid steer (only 2k lbs). It can be done. If you were going to strictly use it for the skid steer. I would get barn doors on the rear and then use standard skid loader ramps to load and unload. I personally would feel more comfortable doing than than running it on the ramp door all the time.
