If you guys have what are the pro/con of them?

I have a 328D John Deere skid steer that is extremely hard to start. It will crank for at least 20-30 seconds at a time before it will start, and sometimes i have to hit it several times before it will go. I have taken it to the local dealer and they had no luck at figuring it out. Despite a few problems, John Deere 328 Skid Steer is a loader of good quality for lifting heavy equipment. With proper maintenance and regular troubleshooting, you can make it last for a long time by getting the best service, without having many problems. I'm looking to get a skid-steer for personal home/farm use. Deal on Thomas 1700 went south. Currently looking at an '07 John Deere 317. Anyone have any pros / cons? Are the Deere's as good as Deere says they are? I will use it for landscaping (on rolling-hill yard), and graveling drive-way, and snow removal, and horse-barn & farm tasks.
Need help deciding between two skid steers. Looking at a CAT '09 252B or a Deere '09 328. Both are like new with 100 hrs. Both have cab, heat, and hand controls. Would be used to move snow, seed, and remove fence and brush. They are priced equally. The Deere has 300lbs more operating capacity.
